SWOS '94 v1.1 Database Dump
Hello there. This site contains a dump of the Sensible World of Soccer '94 v1.1 player database.
Most of the other SWOS database sites on the net are for 95/96, or something even more modern, which is great and all (the stuff they've all worked out and documented about the game let me make this after all) but 95/96 wasn't the version I was playing and there are differences between the databases that makes planning a career mode in '94 (v1.1) more challenging
There is a download that contains this site for offline viewing as well 4 CSV files that you can do what you want with.
- Complete - All the players in the game regardless of where they're from
- JustCareerClubs - All the players from teams active in career mode, so no national team players or custom team players
- JustCustom - All the players in the original custom teams
- JustNations - Solely the players in the national team squads
Stats
It's well known that SWOS stores attrbutes in two ranges, 0-7 and 8-15, for some reason. For easier comparison, the site normalises all stats to the range 0-7. The CSV files contain both raw (whatever the value in the data file is) and normalised stats
There are no bargain players. A player's value is determined by how many attribute points he has. They can be distrbuted many different ways, but if a player has 10 points in total, his value is always 130K
How To Do It
- Get the ADF Files for the version you want to dump
- Install ADFView
- Double click the SWOS Disk 2 ADF in File Explorer
- Right click the data directory, Copy, Paste it somewhere on your hard drives
- The data files are compressed so download RNC Propacker and extract it. Move the rnc_propack_x64.exe file into the data folder you pasted
- Hold shift on the key board and right click the data folder you pasted earlier, select Copy Full Path. Release shift
- Hold the Windows key and press R. Release the Windows key. Type "cmd" (no quotes) in the new box that appeared and press enter
- In the black window that shows up, type "cd " (no quote) then right click, click Paste if a menu shows up, then press enter
- Type or copy these (one at a time) into the cmd window and press enter after each one
- You should now have a decomp directory inside the data directory that looks like it contains all of the same TEAM.000 type files. These are the decompressed ones that can be inspected by appropriate tools
- Download and extract SWOSToCSV and drag and drop the swos data folder onto SWOSToCSV.exe. swosdata.csv will be created in the data directory
mkdir decomp for %a in (*.0*) do rnc_propack_x64.exe u %a ./decomp/%a
